Program Description

This program is a 1 hour hybrid ukulele and songwriting small group class. Youth will learn the basics of playing the ukulele and collaborate with their peers to co-write an original song. The class is beginner-friendly, welcoming participants with no prior instrument experience, and offers a fun, supportive environment for creative expression.

Drop-In Policy

Youth within the appropriate age range may drop in to attend a session, up to a maximum of three students per class. Parents/guardians are asked to complete the online registration form when their youth joins. Registration is required for participation. Youth are welcome to observe a class if space allows, provided they remain respectful.

Waitlist Policy

If more than three students request the same time slot, additional students will be placed on a waitlist. Students who miss more than three classes may be moved to the waitlist if there are others waiting to join.

Conduct Policy

Participants are expected to treat their peers, teachers, instruments, and the library space with respect at all times. This program is designed to be collaborative, and youth should arrive ready and willing to work together in a positive and supportive environment. Disruptive behavior, disrespect toward others, or misuse of instruments or equipment will not be permitted. Students are encouraged to listen actively, contribute thoughtfully, and take care of shared materials and spaces so that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable experience.
