YEAH! Youth Shine at “Teens Take the Frist”
We were thrilled to participate in this summer’s Teens Take the Frist event at The Frist Art Museum - a dynamic celebration of youth creativity, storytelling, and community connection. The event brought together young artists from across Nashville to share their voices through poetry, music, film, and visual art, and YEAH! was proud to be represented by three of our incredible program alumni.
Rainbow Mosho, River Hall, and Braelyn Ross showcased the heart of YEAH!’s mission by performing original work that spoke to their identity, imagination, and strength. Rainbow shared her poem "Living Free," a powerful reflection on self-expression and liberation. River and Braelyn each performed three original songs, captivating the audience with their artistry and emotional depth, all while accompanying themselves on guitar.
Also featured at the event were fellow youth arts champions Southern Word, whose talented writers read original pieces that explored themes of identity and growth, and Girls Write Nashville, who shared beautifully crafted original songs from their young songwriters. Attendees also enjoyed summer film camp screenings in the auditorium, worked on small hands-on arts projects, and connected with their peers over snacks and shared creative energy.
It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of community-centered spaces that uplift young voices and we’re so grateful to The Frist Art Museum for hosting such an empowering event.
