YEAH! UPDATE - July 9, 2026
This weekend: Hermitage Library goes punk!
YEAH! will be at the Hermitage Branch of the Nashville Public Library this Saturday July 11th with our hands‑on instrument "petting zoo"! Youth and families are invited to explore a variety of beginner‑friendly instruments, learn simple techniques, and make some joyful noise in a welcoming, creative space.
The Petting Zoo features three stations where young people can try drums, guitars, bass, keyboards, microphones, and auxiliary percussion. YEAH! staff and volunteers will guide youth through each station, offer basic instruction, and encourage experimentation so participants can discover what inspires them.
This drop‑in event runs from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM at the Hermitage Branch Library. It is free and open to the public. We hope you’ll stop by and support youth creativity in action.

If you’re 20 or under and have participated in any YEAH! program, we want you on the YEAH! Youth Advisory Council! Your perspective matters. You know what works, what feels exciting, and what helps young people grow. By joining the council, you help guide the future of YEAH! programming and ensure that our community stays youth‑driven at its core.

Youth in Nature Camp
Drkmttr Social Club is hosting a one‑of‑a‑kind summer camp in Middle Tennessee designed specifically for rainbow families, including queer and trans youth as well as children of LGBTQIA+ parents and guardians. This year’s Youth in Nature Camp will take place July 16 - 19 on the Chinkapin land in Woodbury, TN.
The camp offers expanded programming that includes arts, crafts, nature exploration, youth leadership, & community building. It is a chance for young people to connect with peers in an affirming environment, & for families to find support and community in a beautiful natural setting. Families may choose to attend during the day or camp overnight alongside other families & facilitators.
The cost is $50 - $200 per child on a sliding scale. Scholarships are available for any youth / family who needs financial support to participate.
More information is available at the Youth in Nature page. Registration is open at tinyurl.com/yin2026
Questions can be sent to TNYouthinNature@gmail.com. You can find more info about the camp at https://www.chinkapincrafts.org/youthinnature
