Now seeking camp interns for YEAH! Rocks music camp 2026!

YEAH! (Youth Empowerment through Arts & Humanities) is seeking a reliable, motivated Summer Camp Intern to support our 2026 YEAH! Rocks Music Camp. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in music education, youth work, event logistics, or nonprofit programming. Gain hands‑on experience behind the scenes of a high‑energy, community‑centered music camp. Compensation

  • $200 stipend 

  • $50 gas card

  • Letter of recommendation and professional references

  • 50 volunteer credit hours

Schedule & Location

  • All camp activities take place at Nashville Prep unless otherwise noted:

    • Saturday, May 30 at Nashville Prep 3:00–5:00 PM

    • Monday-Friday, June 1–5 at Nashville Prep 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

    • Saturday, June 6 at Eastside Bowl 10:00 AM–3:00 PM

    • Sunday, June 7 at Nashville Prep 1:00–5:00 PM

Intern Responsibilities

The camp intern will support staff, instructors, and youth participants through various tasks, including:

  • Load‑in and load‑out of camp materials

  • Event and classroom setup/breakdown

  • Running basic errands (pickups at print shop / grocery store) and printing needs

  • Communications support (emails to caregivers, communicating with camp staff via text/email)

  • Fulfilling music gear and equipment requests (bringing gear from gear room at camp to the appropriate classroom, removing /labeling broken gear, setting up PAs and other music equipment)

  • Administrative tasks (Taking attendance, labeling and handing out t-shirts, etc)

  • Supporting hospitality for camp guests (greeting, providing drinks)

  • Assisting teachers and supporting youth as needed

Requirements

  • Age 18+

  • Ability to lift 25 lbs

  • Ability to perform basic computer tasks (printing from Google Docs, responding to emails, accessing Google Drive files, etc)

  • Ability to operate a printer

  • Working cell phone

  • Reliability, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit

Preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with Google Sheets and Google Docs

  • Interest in music education, youth development, event logistics/production, or nonprofit work
