We are thrilled to announce that YEAH! has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation. The award is part of the foundation’s bold $3 million investment in over 70 youth arts organizations nationwide in 2025.
A check presentation and community celebration will take place on Tuesday, August 12, at 4:15 PM at The Forge, another Genesis Inspiration Foundation grant recipient dedicated to providing pathways for artists and makers to learn, create, and thrive in community. Welcoming everyone from beginners to entrepreneurs, woodworkers to welders, The Forge mirrors YEAH!’s mission of collaboration, education, and outreach.
The event will feature: A performance by a youth band from YEAH!’s music programs A live project-building showcase by youth participants from The Forge Remarks from representatives of YEAH!, The Forge, and the Genesis Inspiration Foundation.
This critical funding will support YEAH!’s inclusive, youth-led music education programs, including instrument instruction, band coaching, songwriting, gear tech, beat-making, and more, offered to youth ages 6–17 across Metro Nashville. With a mission to further empower young people to amplify their voices and build a mindful community through music, YEAH! provides a space where music becomes a tool for self-expression, connection, and transformation.
“This isn’t just a check, it’s a statement,” said Mariela Moscoso, Executive Director of YEAH! “It says youth creativity matters. It says building confidence through the arts is essential. It tells young people: Your voice has power, and we believe in you.”
Since 2018, the Genesis Inspiration Foundation has invested over $13 million in programs that center the arts as a pathway to education, equity, and empowerment. With this grant, YEAH! joins a powerful national network of changemakers committed to reimagining what learning looks like when creativity leads the way.
“We’re not just teaching kids to play music—we’re helping them engage their rhythm in life,” added Moscoso.
